Finding Hope

People are grimy and filled with hate
The human race is turning its back to GOD and truth and love
No one seems to know real love, compassion, or honesty
Our culture a disastrous time bomb
People spit on one another they taunt and scream
We are all losing our minds in a mindless madness
We as humans must find a piece of ourselves untouched by societies shambles
We must look within to see a light we can pass on to one another
Begin our days with prayer and song
Look to an animal or a tree and see true love
Remember what we can learn from nature and other beings
Not only human beings
We are lost in the race we call human
Let us look to a race of animals and spirit beings to fill the void of hopeless illusions
There is always HOPE

LOVE!

Another Adventure

All I want is to stand in a field
and to smell green,
to taste air,
to feel the earth want me,
Without all this concrete
hating me.
~Phillip Pulfrey

Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes - every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man.  ~Orison Swett Marden

Thoughts of Today

I see now how life's crazy ventures and mixed emotions have no room for artists
their sensitive thoughts and feelings about life overwhelm
and are unfit for society
I can ignore everyone around me shut out the voices of constant irritating laughter and nonsense
I can be quiet within and hear my own voice and song within my spirit
this is not a trait society wants
I used to be a quiet girl of kindness and consideration
I would never say anything negative
never give my opinion
I stayed hidden and suffered greatly
I found my voice getting stronger
I felt my body and mind merging with my spirit
I became myself and now i want to remain me
without confrontations
without doubt
and kindness I still hope to spread; but with courage to speak my mind -and never be afraid of myself or others
life is short
I am alone without myself
I will be me
with
or
without
you

Confessions of a Painter

I'm always drawn to the artist that is anti-social and inconsiderate
their honesty and straight forward intention is grand and special to me
I hate the people in this life who lie with a smile.
although I hate to be criticized i would rather be told I suck then coddled

I think I am harsh and my taste is prominent and overwhelming
I'm overly opinionated and my sense of self is overtaking
I'm full of ego and sincerity

I see beauty and believe the beauty I see is true and full
I want people to see my intention it is not spite or meanness ~
It is true honesty and love

Pure Peace

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.  Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.  The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.  ~John Muir

Virgo Full Moon

The Full Moon rings in at 18 degrees Virgo, and is opposite Sun Pisces. What takes us out of synch, and leads to an unnatural, dis-eased life? These two signs complement each other, for healing and living a life devoted to a sense of higher mission. The body is soothed when the soul finds understanding and release. And with integration of what we're carrying in the physical or psychic body, the way is cleared for heightened mystical awareness.
Virgo is an earth sign with a sense of the whole cycle. Virgo gives us practical intelligence, to bring what's off, back into balance. It's a sign that casts ahead using commonsense awareness of cause and effect. You could have a flash knowing at the Full Moon, about what adjustments need to be changed, to get where you want to go. Look to the house position of 18 Virgo for areas where practical magic works its wonders.
The Sun in Pisces is a shiny light on virtues like forgiveness, and unconditional love for self and others. Instead of getting frustrated and giving up, it's the month for seeing that we're works-in-progress, and spirits dressed in matter. It's a solar light for dissolving worn-out behaviors that are not aligned with your soul purpose.
The Beauty of the Small
At the Full Moon, we're invited to manifest with sure-footedness, from a real grounded awareness. Virgo is a sign of presence, and one that observes the smallest details. A great expansion happens now from being here now -- in your body, where you are. A great renewal comes from letting go of what keeps you from settling in, and knowing the power of presence.
Searing Truths
Among the other influences, Mercury Aries is riding close to breakthrough planet Uranus for bursts of inspiration. This is super stimulating to the original mind, for ideas that erupt with vital force. Mercury and Uranus are square to Pluto, for calling a spade a spade -- fearlessly looking into embedded, business-as-usual situations with fresh eyes.

To see a World in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour.

March Moon

Moon at Haley Farm

March is the month of the Full Worm Moon.
The Full Worm Moon was given its name by the Algonquin tribes from New England to Lake Superior. At the time of this spring Moon, the ground begins to soften and earthworm casts reappear, inviting the return of robins. This is also known as the Sap Moon, as it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins.

This Month the moon will be full: March 8, at 9:42 am. The Moon will be in Virgo

Almond Milk Latte: Gluten Free Dairy Free!

   Almond Milk Latte  :)
  • Almond milk is a good natural source of magnesium, potassium, manganese, selenium and vitamin E -- nutrients that aid metabolism, bone health, heart function, immune and reproductive function.
  • If you buy almond milk that has been enriched or fortified, it is a good replacement for cow's milk in terms of calcium and vitamin D content.
  • The fat in almond milk is unsaturated and free of cholesterol -- and unsaturated fats have been shown to decrease the risk of heart disease.
  • 8 oz (237ml) of almond milk contains approximately 70 calories, 2gm protein, 10gm carbohydrates and 2.5 gm fat.
You can find almond milk in regular grocery stores ~ look in the health food or "special diet" section for shelf-stable varieties (that need to be refrigerated after opening) ~ or in the refrigerated section near the cow's milk for some varieties sold chilled.

Yummy!

Love

Love is the only true reality. Love is all we have. Let us love one another more deeply each day. Our true happiness is LOVE.

Buddha

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become."

"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."

"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."

Forgiving

"The act of forgiveness is the act of returning to present time.
And that's why when one has become a forgiving person,
and has managed to let go of the past,
what they've really done is they've shifted their relationship with time.

~ Caroline Myss ~

Keep Loving

"When we harbor negative emotions toward others or toward ourselves,
or when we intentionally create pain for others,
we poison our own physical and spiritual systems.
By far the strongest poison to the human spirit
is the inability to forgive oneself or another person.
It disables a person's emotional resources.
The challenge is to refine our capacity to love others as well as ourselves
and to develop the power of forgiveness. "

~ Caroline Myss ~

Grace

In this moment of passing grace all we can hope for is an understanding of each other and life's lessons.
Realizing all we have is a moment puts all beauty and evil into perspective.
Music leads the way for me ~ Whether through Nature or Man ~ I see how my life has been changed forever by the rhythm and motion of emotion. I am peace with my meaning of life.

Perfect Love....The Love of my Best Friend and True Soul Mate: Brigid!

Brigid is truly remarkable. Her heart is pure and full of joy every waking hour. Her eyes are full of light and love and a knowing beyond all understanding. The story of Brigid is a miracle in itself. She actually found me. After my first Reiki Attunement, I was saying to many of my friends that I would love to adopt a small dog someday. My landlord was ok with me having pets and although I worked a 40 hour job at the time, I had a wonderful friend who was willing to help out if I needed it. So one day I was sitting with my friend at the coffee shop that I managed. I said to him, I really hope I can get a dog. I want the kind of everlasting friendship found in the heart of a dog. About 3 minutes passed....suddenly the door to the coffee shop opened and a little white fluff ball came scurrying in and jumped on my lap. She licked my face and hands and shaking with excitement and perhaps a bit of fear clung to me like a baby. I was in shock, as was my friend. I thought for sure this was someone else's dog..a customer maybe? A customer followed minutes later. He was a regular and I knew this was not his dog. I asked him where the dog came from. He said a van drove by and threw her out. Thus began my adventure with Brigid! She had to stay at the pound for ten days in case someone claimed her..which was insane in itself considering she was thrown from a moving van. But, as I look back on this I think it was a test I had to pass. I visited her every day and called the animal shelter 10 times a day! I was determined to adopt Brigid. I gave her a name quickly. She is named after the Irish Goddess of Poetry. I bought all the necessities she would need, crate, toys, food. And I waited. And waited. Everyday I sent her Reiki. I sent the situation Reiki. I loved her before she was mine. And the love and prayers of everyone around me was amazing. All of my friends were sitting around the phone on the tenth day waiting for the shelter to call me and tell me Brigid was finally mine. When the phone rang we didn't think it would be a phone call telling us her owner came in to take her home. But at 1 pm the phone rang and sure enough, a man had came into the shelter on the tenth day to take my baby home. I was devastated. I was so heart broken. All of my friends were crushed too. They patted me on the back and said "there are plenty more dogs" But I needed Brigid. And she needed me. The man at the shelter said that although Brigid's owner had come to take her home, he couldn't without paying a fine. She was not licensed and had no papers for vaccines. The owner had till tomorrow at noon to pay his fines. I would not give up. I prayed harder and sent Reiki to Brigid that night. I could feel my connection with her was growing stronger and stronger. I felt God wanted us to be together and we would.

The next day at 12:09 I called the animal shelter! The owner never came in for Brigid! She was mine! I rushed to get her after work. After this we were inseparable. I love my Brigid more and more everyday! She is an angel and a miracle in my life, and others too. I will write of her often in the future and post pictures of her. I feel Brigid is full of love and Reiki and I believe she touches everyone she meets in a special way, unique to each person. I thank God everyday for this tiny, yet amazing miracle!
